Casper

Soldiers, my name is Jim “Casper” Hubbard, proud member of the El Paso Chapter.  I’m a native of Rochester, Michigan (Detroit Area), a US Army Captain, serving on active duty, and stationed at FT Bliss here in El Paso, TX.  I’ve only been in for 6 years, though I do have 3 tours to Iraq under my belt.

My name is a spin-off of the name of the company I commanded in Iraq … the Ghostriders.  I would have gone with just that, but I and the guys thought I was too friendly for that.

 I am very happily married to the love of my life, who I found here in El Paso when I was first stationed here back in ’06.  She is more than I deserve and I’m lucky to have her stand by me through all the crazy hours, field exercises, and long deployments. 

 I ride an ’08 Harley Davidson Nightrain Softail.  She’s got classic lines, is plenty fast, and has always taken good care of me no matter where I have taken her … through day and night, rain and shine, snow and ice, and 1100 miles in a single day.  And no, I have no intention of putting a windshield on her! 

I love to ride and can’t think of anything I would rather do … other than spend time with my wife, of course.  But that is why I got her riding and started her off on a Harley Sportster 883 … yeah, we are an HD family.  But I love all bikes of all types.  I’m proud to say my first was a Honda 750.  I’ll ride anywhere for any reason and want to ride with each and every BSMC chapter out there.  So hit me up if you get a chance!
